Quality Assurance

There are a large variety of software tools available both in the public domain and commercially. SESC has brought together a few of those that were thought useful to the computational science and engineering community. They fall into the following broad categories:

  • Source code analysis
  • Compilers
  • Debuggers
  • Source code control (change management)
  • Dynamic analysis
  • Source code documentation
  • Testing

The list of tools discussed here cannot be exhaustive so we have made a selection on this page of those that fall outside the usual compilers, debuggers and SCM tools that developers will be familiar with.
